74 Ranch

This is a delayed post about things i have done in the past. We all like to reminisce...so consider this reminiscing. Now i dont remember much about that weekend (the days run together like sand dunes), but what I do rememeber constitutes a mighty fine hunting weekend.

We left fort worth on a friday for the long haul down to Campbellton, Texas. Where the hell is that you ask? Ross was at the helm and Sac was runnin co-pilot. Papaw and I were in the back, of course, with our knees our chest. Have back seats gotten smaller?

We were all excited about the weekend. Ross' dad had called earlier to tell us that he had scheduled a hunt for some clients and that the clients had backed out at the last minute. He told Ross to find some people to take down there and so he called us. Well of course we jumped at the opportunity for something free and left. This also gave Papaw an excuse to bust out his new queer-hand shotgun. How people can use their left eye for anything is beyond me.

We roll into Campbellton in the mid afternoon and Ross promptly begins making a bunch of wrong turns... again. We get "lost" in a town of maybe 1,500 people and 2 main roads. Finally we get on the stretch of highway that takes us out to the 74. We pulled into the gates and unloaded all of our crap into our fine accomodations and then start to snooping.

I tell you what... This place has got it

Pics and the rest to come in a bit
